System of inert and contact subtypes

This system of subtypes was proposed by Meged-Ovcharov. It is based on the premise that, within the same type, some individuals will be more inclined to focus on their Inert functions(1, 4, 6, 7), and others, on their Contact functions(2, 3, 5, 8).

It is unknown whether these subtypes are fixed or adaptive, regardless, the idea is that the Inert functions are deeply ingrained in a type's ego thus Inert subtype accentuation produces a rather inertial and unrefined attitude with regards to society's expectations and demands(Super-Ego block). The Contact functions however are instruments which the type uses to touch upon its environment thus Contact subtype accentuation produces a more active and integrative attitude that tends to reconcile with the conflicting values and demands of its environment. Another feature is the general emphasis placed on the functions of Logic(T), Ethics(F), Intuition(N) and Sensing(S) leading to what can be basically called Club subtypes.

As an example, Inert IEI not only overvalues its Ni Base, but it also emphasizes the NT features(provisionally known as the Rational subtype, with Alpha leanings). While the Contact IEI socially conforms with its Fe Creative and emphasizes the SF features(provisionally known as the Social subtype with Gamma leanings).

Another example, Inert ILE with overvalued Ne and emphasized NF(Idealist subtype with Beta leanings); and Contact ILE with conforming Ti and emphasized ST(Pragmatic subtype, with Delta leanings).
